For Custom Stitch Portraits, what is considered a "figure?"

Each adult, child, and pet (yes, you can include any beloved furbabies!) are considered one figure each, but a baby held swaddled in a figure's arms is free of charge!

Now that I've placed my order what are the next steps for personalizing my stitch?

Hooray! Now that you've placed your order, look out for an email from me in your inbox (I'll use the email address that you provided at checkout) with a questionnaire for you to fill out and return so that I can personalize your stitch to your exact specifications and get everything JUST right! If you have ordered a custom stitch portrait, please send the reference photos of everyone you'd like included in your stitch along with the questionnaire.

How long will it take to receive my stitch?!

Typical turnaround time for custom handmade pieces are 6-8 weeks from the time I receive your completed questionnaire and reference photos, plus the time it takes to ship it to you. Any "Ready-to-Ship" items will be sent out ASAP! If you have a specific date/occasion by which you need your stitch, please contact me prior to ordering in order to ensure that I can get it to you in plenty of time!

Will my finished stitch come to me ready to display and/or gift?

Your stitch will come to you framed in a lovely natural bamboo hoop ready to hang or display on a favorite shelf, and beautifully finished and backed with fabric that coordinates with the front of your stitch (if you have any special requests regarding colors or patterns for this fabric, don't hesitate to ask!). So, YES, your stitch will come to you ready to display or gift, straight out of the box!

What kind of reference photos work best for custom stitch portraits?

In choosing your reference photos, keep in mind that the more details that are visible in your photos, the more accurately I can portray each individual in stitch form! So the best reference photos are those where colors are true-to-life and I can see every individual from head to toe! Be sure to send photos that include outfits and hairstyles that you feel accurately depict each person in your stitch.

What if I want a slightly different look for one of my figures and I don't have a good photo of it (ie: add or omit glasses, facial hair, different color clothing, different hair length/color, add a cute baby bump)?

No problem! Just be sure to specify these things in as much detail as possible in the questionnaire coming your way! If I have any questions about your requested looks, I'll be sure to let you know :)

What if I don't have a good recent photo of everyone that I want in my stitch all together?

Totally understandable and, again, no problem! I can work from one photo of the whole group of people you'd like included in your stitch OR multiple photos of each person if you don't have everyone together in one photo!

I have an idea for a little something special I'd like to add to my stitch beyond the heart and standard lettering; can we do that?
